Love & Tragedy; Letters of the 16th Century

Mix, mingle and make this Valentines Day at Artist & Craftsman Supply in Jackson Square. Explore the polarity that comes with Valentine's Day and its history of longing and desperation alongside the fulfillment and love, all aspects found evident in words and letters of the 16th century. Draw creative inspiration from calligraphy written love poems of the Elizabethan era to create a variety of mixed media projects using art materials supplied by Artist & Craftsman. This is a great opportunity to explore new methods and ideas and meet fellow artists while sharing this creative activity together. ArtSpan will provide light refreshments.

Art-in-Neighborhoods Artist Activity Mixer

Join us at Ritual Coffee Roasters in the Mission during an ArtSpan Art-in-Neighborhoods exhibition. Featured artists from our Art-in-Neighborhoods program, Anne Garvey, will present an interactive printmaking activity for ArtSpan members and guests to make while they mix and mingle. This is a great opportunity to meet other creatives and explore new methods while partaking in a group activity. ArtSpan will provide light refreshments.

ArtSpan assemblage artist, Dianne Hoffman, will give a short presentation about her work utilizing re-purposed, discarded objects. Guests will have an opportunity to tour the facility to stir creative ideas before a fun, hands-on activity with salvaged objects in the Reclaimed Room Gallery with snacks and beverages.

Figure Drawing with Moleskine SF

Thursday, November 19 6pm-8pm

Dive into complimentary watercolors, pencils, and watercolor papers provided by Moleskine as we sketch from live models at the Market Street Moleskine store. This is a great opportunity to try out new art materials and meet fellow artists while sketching short gestural poses. Mix Mingle and Make while enjoying catered snacks and beverages. 

**Due to limited space, $20 reservations through Eventbrite are required. Funds will directly compensate the models.
